Fireworks, TikTok dances and more planned for York City’s annual Labor Day celebration

Meet Annie! She is one of two new therapy dogs at the York Day Early Learning Center in York City, pictured here on Friday, August 2, 2024. The dogs will be at the center full-time beginning in September.
York City is preparing for its annual Labor Day celebration, with live music, fireworks and a TikTok dance challenge.
The event will be held on September 2nd from 6-9 p.m. at Kiwanis Lake and is free. Vendors will be on site offering food and goods for purchase. Resources will be provided by community organizations.

There’s plenty for kids to do at Atomic Bounce’s Kidz Zone, including bouncy castles, a dance competition and free entertainment.
To round off the night, fireworks will light up the sky at the grand finale, sponsored by Highmark Wholecare.
