A British teenager has reportedly died after falling from a hotel balcony while on holiday in Ibiza.

Emma Ramsay, 19, from Scotland, is said to have died as a result of the incident on Tuesday morning (20 August) in the San Antonio area of ​​the Mediterranean island.

The teenager, who lives in Hamilton in South Lanarkshire, had uploaded posts from her holiday on social media and wrote that she was “obsessed with this place”.

According to the Daily Record, the talented law student fell from the sixth floor of the Vibra District Hotel.

The principal of Ramsey’s former school, St. John Ogilvie High, said they were “saddened by the heartbreaking news.”

Lorna Lawson said: “Emma was an incredibly kind, hard-working, bright and talented student who made a huge contribution to our school community.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Emma’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Emma will be missed and she will forever hold a special place in our school.”

Colette Watson, headteacher of St Mark’s Primary in Hamilton, added: “Emma was a lovely, caring and considerate girl and many of our staff have really fond memories of her time with us.

“This is terribly sad news and our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences go out to Emma’s family and friends.”

In a touching tribute, Emma’s boyfriend Paris Mcgoldrick wrote: “I don’t even know where to begin to describe how perfect our Emma was. I loved everything about you and will forever.”

“Heaven just received the most beautiful angel there will ever be, and I am forever grateful to call you my friend. I will cherish the moments we shared together forever, Em.

“I love you forever, my girl. We will never forget you.”

Another tribute from Megan Todd read: “The prettiest, brightest angel to ever walk in heaven. Words cannot describe my love for you.”

“15 years of best friendship full of laughter and joy. Never a goodbye, just a see you later, until we meet again.”

Kimberly Barrie also wrote: “Emma Ramsay, thank you for letting me know the purest and most beautiful soul. I love you forever.”

Meanwhile, a Foreign Office spokesman said: “We are supporting the family of a British woman who died in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.”
