To everyone’s surprise, Masa’s Trash Bot mirrors his feelings by attacking Hiromasa and treating him like trash.

3 Hiromasa says Masa visited him a few days before his disappearance

The reason for Masa’s disappearance is becoming increasingly clear

After the end of the flashback of episode 8, the present timeline starts where Sunny Episode 7 ended showing an interaction between Hiromasa and Suzie. While Suzie wonders why Masa hasn’t told her about his family, Hiromasa hacks into Sunny and searches the GPS trackers. Hiromasa, Suzie, and Mixxy soon realize that Sunny’s system shows four people with GPS trackers. Since they previously assumed that only three trackers existed, they become curious about the identity of the fourth person.

The fact that Masa knew how to build killer robots that would take lives to protect him also suggests that Sunny might have killed a Yakuza offshoot to protect him.

Hiromasa also reveals that he left Sunny with him before Masa disappeared and asked him to give her to Suzie. This suggests that Masa had a vague idea that his life was in danger. He apparently knew that the Yakuza were after him, and revealed why he gave Sunny to Suzie as a gift, to ensure she was safe. The fact that Masa knew how to build killer robots that would take lives to protect him also suggests that Sunny may have killed someone from the Yakuza to save herself from a potential threat. This could explain why Hime’s father wanted her to find Sunny and Masa.

2 Suzie finally finds her son

She and Mixxy follow the fourth tracker

In Sunny In the final moments of episode 8, Suzie and Mixxy set out to find the fourth marker, hoping it will lead them to Masa’s whereabouts. Just then, Suzie hears her son scream, which encourages her to redouble her efforts to find him.

Suzie follows his voice and eventually enters a room where she sees him from a distance. Unfortunately, before she can reunite with her son, she is caught by one of Hime’s men and has his gun pointed at her head. At that moment, Sunny comes out of nowhere and seems to want to hurt Suzie. But surprisingly, instead of attacking Suzie, Sunny hits the man who had threatened Suzie with the gun.

The cliffhanger ending paves the way for the show’s final story arc

Although Sunny manages to save the day towards the end of episode 8, the ground beneath her suddenly breaks apart and she falls into a dark abyss. This scene seems to indicate that before Sunny can do any more damage, someone will either override her code to take her out or She has a built-in mechanism that causes her to lose consciousness if she violates her programming. Sunny Episode 9 will explain more about this and reveal whether Masa is still alive.
