‘Stree 2’ has broken all Bollywood box office records to become one of the highest grossing Hindi films of all time! The horror comedy sequel has surpassed the total box office collections of many popular films in the past few years, including ‘Kalki 2989 AD’, ‘Fighter’ and more. Who is Sarkata in Street 2?

Directed by Amar Kaushik, it boasts a star-studded cast including Rajkummar Rao as Vicky, Shraddha Kapoor as the witch, Pankaj Tripathi as Rudra, Aparshakti Khurana as Bittu and Abhishek Banerjee as Janna. But beneath the mask remained (literally) the actor who played the most prominent role – Sarkata, the headless demon.

Sunil Kumar or Sunny, known as ‘The Great Khali of Jammu’, is a 7-foot-tall man who played the role of Sarakata. Apart from being a police officer in the Jammu and Kashmir Police and an actor, he is also a wrestler. Kumar started learning martial arts at a young age and took part in many local competitions. He entered the film industry after a local casting director spotted him at a wrestling match.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, director Amar Kaushik mentioned, “The casting team found him. We wanted a man of that height and he fit our requirements.”

Street 2 Box Office Collection

One of the most awaited films of 2024, Stree 2 has broken many box office records. With a whopping collection of Rs 76.5 crore, it has become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time on its first day. According to a report by Indian Express, the Shraddha Kapoor-directed film has crossed the Rs 350 crore mark worldwide after 6 days of run. It has collected a whopping Rs 254.55 crore at the domestic box office.
