United Airlines believes college football fans will want to fly this season to see their favorite teams compete live against their rivals.

The airline announced Tuesday that it is adding 20 additional nonstop flights and using larger aircraft on 115 flights to 30 of the most highly anticipated college football games this fall.

These games include the University of Texas-Austin at the University of Michigan on September 7, Ohio State at the University of Oregon on October 12 and the University of Alabama at Louisiana State University on November 9.

“Connecting travelers to the moments that matter most to them is at the core of what we do at United,” said Patrick Quayle, United’s senior vice president of global network planning and alliances, in a statement. “We know fans will appreciate this year’s special soccer programming, which makes it easier to cheer on their teams on the go.”

With the exception of one game on Memorial Day weekend, connections are scheduled for arrival on Friday and return on Sunday.

The airline also added additional flights last year to accommodate the millions of football fans who travel across the U.S. to watch college athletes compete live. In fact, college football has a large fan base, which NCAA figures estimate will be around 41,867 fans per game in 2023, CBS Sports reported.
