Rylan talks about her shock as host of Dating Naked: “My jaw dropped”
The singles live, date and party alongside each other all completely naked and, with £50,000 on offer, the series will shock you as much as it shocked presenter Rylan when he was asked to take over as host of the show.
In an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com, Rylan explained that he was at a loss for words when he was first asked to host the series.
He said: “The people at Paramount Plus called me and said, ‘This is something we’d like you to do,’ and I said, ‘Excuse me? I don’t understand what you mean.’ They said, ‘Yeah, they’re naked, dating and you see everything.'”

While Rylan assumed that most of the nudity would be blurred out, he quickly learned that this was not the case.
After being told that the series had already been broadcast once in Germany, Rylan watched it and “after ten minutes my jaw dropped because I couldn’t believe that everything was so present.”
He added: “Then something clicked in my brain and I thought, this is actually good. So I thought, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.'”

The British edition is based on the original US series by VH1 after the relaunch of the format in Germany and shows all the singles in a truly brutal way with challenges, dates and rejections.
What sets the series, which includes classic dating show formats, apart from the various reality dating shows that viewers already know and love? Well, quite a lot!
Rylan told RadioTimes.com: “Not only are they physically naked, but it also gives them this vulnerability and equal opportunities because they’re not hiding behind anything. So it’s a beautiful vulnerability and not a terrible one.”
“We skipped all the foreplay, and so they got to know each other much more easily and intensely than I’ve seen on other shows. And the common thread of them being naked runs through all ten episodes, because situations (and) conversations arise because they are naked.”
