Solar PV Flooring for Residential and Commercial Use – pv magazine India

Ankara Solar Energy, a Turkish module manufacturer, has launched PV Floor, a line of solar modules that double as a non-slip glass floor, designed for residential projects and commercial applications such as shopping malls, driveways, parking lots, patios, decks and pedestrian areas.

The PV Floor brand was launched in Turkey and Greece in 2022, now the markets in Europe and the USA will follow.

“The return on investment (ROI) for a 1 kW system in Spain or Greece is typically 4 to 5 years,” said an Ankara Solar spokesman. pvmagazine“To complete the PV floor system, adjustable feet are required, which we supply together with the products. A steel or aluminum construction is not necessary.”

The PV floor stand components are made of polypropylene with a central load capacity of 1000 kg and support feet with adjustment options from 50 mm to 260 mm. Their base diameter is 200 mm and the tip diameter is 120 mm.

The PV Floor solar module models PVF-08-30W and PVF-08-120W have an 8-year warranty with a 10-year linear power warranty, standard IP65 junction boxes and an operating temperature of -40°C to 85°C. The backsheet is the same type on both, either white, black or transparent. Both models have a maximum system voltage of 1,000V.

PVF-08-30W is a 30 W module with 17% efficiency, an open circuit voltage of 6.49 V and a short circuit current of 5.54 A, constructed from eight monocrystalline 10-busbar half cells. The front glass is made of 10 mm thick, non-slip bottom glass. The frameless panel measures 450 mm x 450 mm x 10.5 mm and weighs 5.2 kg.

PVF-32-120W is a 120W panel with an efficiency of 17.84%. It consists of 32 monocrystalline 10-busbar half cells. It has an open circuit voltage of 26.19V and a short circuit current of 5.62A. The front glass is made of 8mm thick non-slip bottom glass. The panel measures 820mm x 820mm x 10.5mm and weighs 15kg.

“Additionally, for grid-tied systems, you need microinverters or grid-tied inverters; for storage systems, off-grid or hybrid inverters and storage systems are required,” the spokesperson said, adding that the products can be integrated with energy storage providers such as Zendure, Anker and Ecoflow.

“The lead time for large orders is typically three to six weeks, depending on the order quantity,” the spokesman said.

Ankara Solar Energy has been producing crystalline silicon solar modules since 2013 with an annual production capacity of 750 MW. The company reportedly exports to 40 countries.
