Del water gap has released a new single, “Purple teeth, courage.”

It is an excerpt from a new deluxe edition of the second album “I miss you already + I haven’t left yet”, Expected release date is August 16th via Mom + Pop Music.

The Deluxe Edition includes three bonus tracks, including the new single, ‘Midas’and a live recording of ‘Dollhouse’. This release follows Del Water Gap’s recent duet with Holly Humberstone, “Cigarettes & Wine.”

Del Water Gap describes the new track as follows: “It’s a story about how when you’ve had enough red wine, you suddenly get all brave and spin around in circles and push around and say a lot of crap that you’ve been carrying inside you for a long time and that hurts you. And you sleep it off, and when you wake up in the morning, you can’t really remember what you said, but you look in the mirror and your teeth are still purple from the night before – and that’s when the guilt starts to creep in. The Groundhog Day of pain and burying the hatchet, of repressing it and boiling it over again and again.”

“I Miss You Already + I Haven’t Left Yet” was inspired by a note found in Del Water Gap’s grandfather’s book of poetry, William Carlos Williams. The album features contributions from Arlo Parks and Clairo and was produced by Del Water Gap along with Sammy Witte and Ethan Gruska.
