LACY LAKEVIEW, Texas (KWTX) – According to an arrest warrant affidavit, detectives with the Lacy Lakeview Police Department arrested a 22-year-old man on August 19 for arranging a sexual encounter with someone he believed to be a 15-year-old girl.

Oscar Romero Robles was charged with online solicitation of minors after he “demonstrated intent to arrange sexual relations,” the affidavit states.

According to the document, a Lacy Lakeview police officer conducted an undercover investigation on Facebook, posing as a 15-year-old girl.

Robles started an innocent conversation with the “girl,” not knowing that he was actually dealing with an undercover agent.

The messages soon turned sexual, and even after the undercover agent informed Robles that she was an underage girl, Robles continued to send graphic text messages, the affidavit states.

Robles, the arrest warrant states, did not seem deterred by the age difference, declaring, “Seriously, when you’re 15 years old.”

The text messages included a photo of Robles’ penis, but Robles deleted those photos before the undercover agent could take screenshots, the warrant says.

The undercover agent agreed to meet Robles at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Lacy Lakeview to engage in sexual activity, the affidavit states.

Robles was arrested at the park around 10 p.m. and is currently being held in the McLennan County Jail on $10,000 bail.

However, he has an immigration detention order against him, meaning that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will take him into custody for deportation if Robles is released from prison on bail.
