…about why Tex-Mex restaurant Chuy’s at Knox & McKinney in Dallas is moving to Greenville Avenue, according to the Dallas Morning News.

For 31 years Chuy’s has a Instagram-ready location at Knox & McKinney in Dallas. That’s 17 years longer than Instagram has existed – but the clock is now ticking. The Austin-based restaurant brand plans to move the location two miles east to 1520 Greenville Avenue in April 2025, according to the Dallas Morning News. Thankfully, the Elvis The statue will come along on the journey. And hopefully the hubcap ceiling, the wall with the pet photos and the countless works of art and sculptures that make this place so special.

Why the move? It turned out Trammell Crow Co. And BDT & MSD Partner—Part of the team building a 1 million SF mixed-use building on Knox Street and the Katy Trail– have bought out leases for the same southeast corner where Chuy’s is parked, DMN’s Sarah Blaskovich reports.

For more information on this upcoming move, see the DMN story.
