How does the loot phase work in 7 Days To Die?
As with many survival games, success in 7 days to die is determined not only by your combat skills, but also by how skilled you are at looting and scavenging. After all, without targeted gathering of resources and items, you won’t be able to survive blood moons, hordes, and the most brutal POIs you discover.

The quality of the loot you get is determined by a stat called “Loot Stage,” which improves as you progress through the game and depending on where you go. This isn’t explained particularly well in the game, but understanding how it works will help you decide how much effort you want to put into searching loot containers and the like.
How does the prey phase work?
The loot level is a simple number that is influenced by a number of factors and determines Types and quality of prey that you receive when you open a container. You can check your loot status on the Basic character statistics of the statistics menu.

The simplest factor: Loot Stage is scale linearly with your player level. This means that you can get better items just by surviving for a long time and playing the game normally. |

This means that You will reliably encounter better loot with a higher loot leveland you will no longer encounter very weak or useless equipment as you progress through the game.
