NASCAR Cup Series Championship Odds: Betting Odds Updated After Michigan

The betting odds for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship after last weekend’s trip to Michigan International Speedway.

His second win of the season. Tyler Reddick was able to reach Victory Lane at the end of the FireKeepers Casino 400. It was not without drama, because a Martin Truex Jr. Accident brought the race into overtime, but Reddick was able to William Byron And Ty Gibbs in check during the last reboots.

Some of the top contenders, such as Kyle Larson And Christopher Bellhad some struggles at Michigan while Reddick strengthened his position. Below is the full list of updated odds, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Kyle Larson (+380)

Kyle Larson is always a favorite at Michigan, but the Hendrick Motorsports star faced some criticism after he lost control of his car on Monday and caused a big crash that left him in 34th place and would cost him the lead in the Cup Series standings.

As we move on to Daytona this weekend, Larson’s struggles at superspeedways are well documented, having never won at the track in 37 attempts in the Cup Series. He finished 11th in the Daytona 500 in early 2024.

Dennis Hamlin (+380)

Denny Hamlin started from the pole on Sunday afternoon, but after a spin he was unlucky and his performance was questionable. However, he was able to keep going and came back pretty well on Monday, finishing ninth.

Hamlin’s success at Daytona is well known and it’s easy to see why he’s a favorite at the track year after year. Given all the uncertainty, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Hamlin back in Victory Lane on Saturday.

Christopher Bell (+400)

Christopher Bell left Michigan in a bad mood. The Joe Gibbs Racing star finished 35th in Brooklyn. It was a truly disappointing afternoon for Bell at a track where he seems unable to buy a solid result.

When you think of drivers to beat at Daytona, Bell isn’t necessarily the first to spring to mind, but the JGR star has managed to fight his way to the top in his last few starts at the track, even if he’s still looking for a win at the summer event.

Tyler Reddick (+500)

Tyler Reddick is quickly becoming one of the standout stars in the NASCAR world. He took his second win of the season at Michigan, but he could easily take two or three more at this point in 2024.

Reddick, who moved to Daytona, actually won his qualifying race in early February and has finished second in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 in the past. Perhaps he can score a second consecutive win this weekend after his win in Michigan.

William Byron (+800)

William Byron had a mixed summer after starting the 2024 season with a bang, but the Hendrick Motorsports star had a great afternoon in Michigan. The No. 24 driver finished second in Brooklyn.

Who could forget Byron starting the season with a bang at the Daytona 500? He is certainly a contender to win the season on the track, having also won the Coke Zero 400 in the past.

Ryan Blaney (+800)

Ryan Blaney looked to be on his way to a great finish in Michigan, but a collision with friend Chase Elliott marred his afternoon before the finish line. The reigning champion had to settle for 18th place instead.

Aside from Hamlin, Blaney is probably the most dangerous driver on superspeedway tracks, whether at Talladega or Daytona. He has had more success on the former track, but the No. 12 will be a strong contender on Saturday.

Chase Elliott (+1100)

Chase Elliott was leading the way on the final restart of overtime, but contact with Ryan Blaney sent him to the middle of the pack. As it turned out, the No. 9 finished the afternoon a solid 15th and remains second in the Cup Series standings.

Elliott has won several qualifying races at Daytona, but he has yet to find victory lane in either the 500 or the Coke Zero 400. If that changes this weekend and he can score his second win of 2024, the crowd will surely show their appreciation.

Joey Logano (+1600)

Joey Logano was in the news last week because of the Austin Dillon controversy and was looking to make up for his Richmond mistake with a win at Michigan. However, a flat tire ruined his afternoon and he settled for 33rd place.

Logano, a former Daytona 500 champion, always shows what he can do when the Cup Series returns to the famous track. He put in a stellar performance in February before getting destroyed in the final stage, so he’ll be looking for revenge on Saturday.

Martin Truex Jr. (+1600)

Martin Truex Jr. had a disappointing time at Richmond and was hoping to reach Victory Lane at Michigan and secure a playoff spot. He was on his way to a top-ten finish, but then Truex Jr. hit the wall, triggering a controversial caution that marred his afternoon and forced him to finish P24.

Truex Jr. has all but secured his spot in the playoffs, but with a win on Saturday he can make it official. If all goes wrong, he’ll still be in contention for the title, but in his final season, Truex Jr. would love to head to Victory Lane at Daytona.
