City of Dallas offers payment plans for overdue water bills

Dallas City Hall

The City of Dallas is offering payment plans to its water utility customers who are delinquent in payments due to late fees and service interruptions several months after switching to an online payment platform.

Dallas Water Utilities launched the DallasGo online payment platform in March 2024. According to the city, late fees and service interruptions have been eliminated since then as residents have switched to the service. According to the city, over a quarter of all DWU customers currently have past-due balances.

The city offers payment plans of up to six months to customers with past due balances of more than 60 days. To learn more, customers are asked to email dwuPayment plan@dallas.gov. Customers can make payments through DallasGo, by mail, or by phone. Payments can also be made in person at City Hall or at an authorized payment station.
