Tyler Perry’s House of Payne season 13 returns with a new episode this week. House of Payne season 13 episode 2 premieres Tuesday, August 20 at 9 p.m. Those who have given up on traditional cable can also watch the show on streaming services Philo (free trial) and FuboTV (free trial).

In 2007, famed writer/director/producer/actor Tyler Perry made his first foray into the world of television with the sitcom “House of Payne.” Today, 15 years later, Perry has expanded the Tyler Perry Studios brand to include several television shows, including some premiering this week: “The Oval,” “Assisted Living” and “Sistas.”

What to expect in today’s episode

Season 13, Episode 2, “Adjust Your Crown, Sis,” airs tonight, August 20, at 9 p.m. on BET. According to BET’s official synopsis, “Ella begins to suspect that something may be going on behind closed doors in the new marriage when she donates membership to her Incomparable Crowns social club to the new wife of a longtime deacon.”

According to the show’s official synopsis, “Atlanta firefighter Curtis “Pops” Payne considers his home his castle, but he needs a bigger moat around it. His nephew CJ and the kids have invaded his home for an extended stay, and his penniless son Calvin still comes to visit regularly, mostly for meals and laundry. Thankfully, Curtis has a loving wife who never gives up on him and keeps him from breaking down.”
