With a new offer from Avelo Airlines, you can save even more on autumn travel.

The airline’s Back to School sale ends tomorrow, August 20, at 11:59 p.m. PT. Using promo code SCHOOL, travelers can get 30 percent off round-trip flights across Avelo’s network between September 4 and November 5. There are no blackout dates during this period.

This promo code must be entered when searching for flights on the Avelo website under the field “Do you have a promo code?” The 30% saving applies only to the base price of a round-trip ticket, excluding government taxes and fees.

Travel + Leisure I tested the promo code on several travel routes:

• Raleigh-Durham (RDU) and Manchester (MHT): $88 ($112 without promo code)
• Burbank (BUR) and Sonoma County (STS): $74 ($92 without promo code)
• Baltimore (BWI) and New Haven (HVN): $68 ($82 without promo code)
• Salem (SLE) and Las Vegas (LAS): $80 ($102 without promo code)
• Wilmington, Delaware (ILG) and Myrtle Beach (MYR): $71 ($87 without promo code)

Avelo is a smaller airline, so most flights are not daily. However, travelers can rely on the airline’s excellent punctuality and even change their bookings online at no extra cost.

The budget airline operates an all-Boeing 737 fleet in a 3-3 configuration. Passengers should be aware that there is an additional charge for seat selection and the airline offers multiple rows of seats with more legroom for an additional charge. While one personal item is included in the fare, there are additional charges for carry-on and checked baggage.
