Tamannaah Bhatia, Kriti Sanon and Shraddha Kapoor rocked the house with their dance moves at the Stree 2 success party. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 has grossed over Rs 200 crore in just five days. To celebrate the huge box office collection and the many records broken by the film, the team of Stree 2 came together for a fun party. Bhediya star Kriti and Vicky Kaushal were in attendance.
In a video that surfaced online, Tamannaah Bhatia, Kriti Sanon and Shraddha Kapoor are seen dancing on the song Aaj Ki Raat. Tamannaah performed the hook step while Shraddha and Kriti followed her. Sunny Kaushal and Abhishek Bannerjee are also seen in the video. Watch the video below:
Stree 2 has emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024 with an estimated box office collection of Rs 242.40 crore in just five days. Stree 2 beat Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter and Prabhas-Amitabh Bachchan’s Kalki 2898 AD to record the most successful opening weekend of this year with its extended weekend. Stree 2 has also already surpassed Fighter’s total collection.
Bollywood Hungama reported that Fighter grossed Rs. 115.30 crores in its opening weekend and ended its total box office collections with Rs. 199.45 crores. Stree 2 also surpassed the Hindi box office collections of Kalki 2898 AD. It is reported that the Hindi version of Kalki 2898 AD grossed Rs. 112.15 crores in its opening weekend and ended its total box office collections with Rs. 294.25 crores in Hindi alone.
Stree 2 benefited from two factors: the hype surrounding the first film and the common holidays of Independence and Raksha Bandhan. On Independence Day, Stree 2 collected Rs 51.8 crore while on Raksha Bandhan, the film collected Rs 37.00 crore due to the holidays in certain parts of the country. The highest ratings were recorded in Delhi-NCR, Lucknow, Bhopal, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.
Stree 2 is a sequel to the 2018 film Stree. The first film grossed a total of Rs. 129.90 crore. The sequel brought back the original cast of the first film – Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana. However, an interesting mix of actors was also added in the form of cameos.
