The City of Osage City, Kansas is now accepting applications for the position of Water, Wastewater, Gas and Power Plant Operator. The employee in this position will be responsible for the daily operations of the City’s water distribution system, water treatment plant, wastewater collection system and natural gas distribution system, including working at the power plant.

A high school diploma or GED and a valid Kansas driver’s license are required. Training opportunities to obtain certifications are available. Questions about the position may be directed to Utilities Director Dale Schwieger [email protected].

This position is full-time and therefore offers KPERS, health insurance, life insurance, vacation, sick leave and personal days as benefits. The City of Osage City offers a competitive wage, overtime, on-call and benefits package and pays 100% of the individual health insurance premium.

The starting salary with no experience is $19.74. Salary depends on certifications and experience.
