How do you get a Hello Kitty collectible cup from McDonald’s?
One woman shared how she was able to get the McDonald’s collectible cup she wanted.
To get a collector’s mug, you have to order a McDonald’s Collector’s Meal. These “Adult Happy Meals” come with a surprise mug. The mug comes packaged. It comes in six different themes – Barbie & Hot Wheels, Beanie Babies, Coca-Cola, Hello Kitty & Peanuts, Shrek, Jurassic Park & Minions and McDonald’s.
The Hello Kitty mug is probably the most coveted collectible mug from McDonald’s. Usually, all things Hello Kitty are coveted. TikToker Haylee (@haylee_rivera) created a helpful video for anyone who has their eye on the Hello Kitty or another specific collectible mug.
“I know everyone is talking about it,” she says, holding a Hello Kitty mug and a mug that’s still in its packaging.
So how can you be sure which mug you are getting?
“So my mom actually went to McDonald’s and told them, ‘I need this cup. I’ll pay extra for it,’ and she did,” Haylee says.
She adds that her mother told the workers, “And I need two of them.”
“So I don’t know how they know which cup is which,” she says, referring to the fact that they come packaged.
Haylee suspects that employees can see through the cups’ blue plastic packaging. She unwraps the cup and reveals a second one with a Hello Kitty motif. “Now you know that employees can look through the bag to see which cup is which,” she concludes, holding up both Hello Kitty cups.

The McDonald’s Hello Kitty Collector’s Cup Code
Their video was viewed over 123,000 times. Viewers claiming to be McDonald’s employees said there was a code on every package.
“The one with Hello Kitty ends in 8324, that’s how you know,” claimed one viewer.
This number was confirmed by other TikTokers.
“There is also a number on the bottom of the bag, the HK number is 55038324,” said another commenter.
A TikTok video also claimed that the Hello Kitty code was 55038324. Reddit posts also supported this theory.
