Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank has currently taken the cinema halls by storm. In Amar Kaushik’s horror comedy, a headless villain named Sarkata wreaks havoc in the town of Chanderi. Unknown to everyone, the antagonist is played by a 7-foot-tall man known as the Great Khali of Jammu. Born as Sunil Kumar, the giant made his name as a top wrestler and is reportedly a police officer in the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

A closer look at his profile revealed that he is also known by his ring name ‘The Great Angaar’. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik stated that his casting team found him and selected the wrestler based on his height and physique. The filmmaker also mentioned that they used the body shots of Sunil Kumar while Sarkata’s face was generated through CGI. In the film’s credits, Kumar is credited as Sarkata.

Apart from such roles in films, Kumar takes care of the people of Jammu and Kashmir as a police officer. He also enjoys playing handball and volleyball and was part of the WWE tryout in 2019. Born on December 16, 1990, the wrestler wants to represent India in the WWE Championship. While many have heard the name of retired professional wrestler The Great Khali (Dalip Singh Rana), it is worth noting that Sunil is five inches taller than the former star.

When we went through his Instagram profile, we found a picture of him posing with actor Rajkummar Rao, who plays the role of Vicky in Stree 2. There was also a picture of Kumar standing on the sets of the show alongside Tamannaah Bhatia, who makes a special appearance as Shama. For the unaware, the sequel to the 2018 film Stree also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana, with Varun Dhawan making a cameo as Bhediya and Akshay Kumar making a special appearance as Sarkata’s descendant.

Street 2 released on August 15 and was a huge box office hit. The makers have already thrown a success party for the film.
