Pop/punk band announces tour with Superheaven and Koyo; new album “I Want to Disappear” now available




What has happened so far recently ended a six-year break between recordings with the release of I want to disappearthe pop-punk/alternative band’s fifth album – and this winter the group will go on a major headlining tour.

The tour announced on Monday includes special guests Super sky And Koyoand will begin at the end of November:

November 29th – Brooklyn, NY – Brooklyn Paramount
December 1st – Philadelphia, PA – The Fillmore Philadelphia
December 3 – Atlanta, GA – Coca-Cola Roxy
December 4th – Orlando, FL – Hard Rock Live
December 6th – Houston, TX – Bayou Music Center
December 7 – San Antonio, TX – Boeing Center at Tech Port
December 8 – Irving, TX – The Pavilion at the Toyota Plant
December 10th – Phoenix, AZ – The Van Buren
December 12 – Los Angeles, California – Hollywood Palladium
December 14 – San Francisco, CA – The Freemasons

As for the album, I want to disappear notes that The Story So Far continues to evolve its sound, which began as straightforward pop/punk but shifted more into the indie/alternative realm in later releases.

Frontman Parker Cannon spoke with Rolling Stone about the album, as well as the death of his father and how coping with this grief played a role in the eventual creation of I want to disappear:

“He was music to me. When he left, it was really difficult for me to move on and do it again. (…) The most important thing was learning how to channel my grief into writing about it – there were so many first drafts of these songs that will never see the light of day.”
