No Prep Kings’ Racer was 33

Lizzy Musi, a racing driver who Street Outlaws: Kings without preparation and several Discovery spin-offs, died of breast cancer at her home in North Carolina on June 27, her father announced on social media. She was 33.

Musi was diagnosed with stage 4 triple negative breast cancer in April 2023 and documented her battle with the disease on Instagram.

“I can’t even describe what I’ve been through and how I’m coping with this cancer diagnosis – many people had doubts about me,” she said Draw illustrated in August. “I am very grateful and happy that I can continue doing what I do.”

Musi was a long-time racing driver who became the first female driver to win a race last year. In July 2014, Musi became the first woman to win a national Pro Nitrous event at the Professional Drag Racers Association US Drags. She was also a director of the family business, Musi Racing in Mooresville, NC. Her father, Pat Musi, is an eight-time PDRA road racing world champion and a renowned engine builder.

“Surrounded by her family, in the safety of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven tonight at 11:25pm,” Pat Musi’s Facebook post reads. “Thank you for all the prayers and support during her battle. At this time, the family would like time to process (grieve) the incident in peace and make arrangements. We will provide an update as soon as we have information to share.”
