HOMESTEAD, Florida. – A 67-year-old Homestead man was arrested over the weekend after touching a girl and kissing her twice on the lips, authorities said.

According to Homestead police, the incident occurred late Friday night and was reported early Saturday morning.

According to police, officers initially spoke to a woman who said she had just returned home from a local restaurant where she had picked up food when she heard a loud argument coming from outside.

She then went outside and found the suspect, Juan Bautista Bonilla, arguing with another man she knew, police reported.

According to a police report, the woman noticed that the victim seemed “anxious and nervous” and asked her what was wrong.

Police said the victim then told them that Bautista Bonilla rubbed her breast and vagina on her clothing and kissed her twice on the lips.

According to the report, the woman told the other man to separate from Bautista Bonilla, after which he called 911.

According to police, the man told officers that he witnessed Bautista Bonilla’s behavior toward the victim when he arrived at the house in his vehicle and then confronted him.

According to the report, Bautista Bonilla invoked his right to a lawyer when questioned by police.

He was arrested for lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under the age of twelve.

Bautista Bonilla has been held without bail at the Metrowest Detention Center since Monday afternoon.
