Meghan Markle and Prince Harry kiss while salsa dancing in Colombia
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were full of declarations of affection during their four-day tour of Colombia on Monday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a sweet kiss while happily dancing salsa during their visit to the Jóvenes en Cali youth center, as shown in photos and videos of the energetic performance.
“Upon arrival, the couple received a warm and enthusiastic welcome and their visit began with various salsa and hip hop performances,” a press release on their website reads. “The Duke and Duchess joined the dance students on the dance floor towards the end of the music segment.”
Harry, 37, and Marke, 43, looked delighted as they twirled and giggled as other children joined them on the dance floor.
The former Suits actress looked stunning in a chic linen skirt and casual brown sandals. Her husband looked casual in a blue button-down shirt and white slacks.
After their tender dance moment, the couple spoke directly with the young people and listened to their personal stories about their challenges and how music and dance have enriched their lives.
“I hope you understand how much your actions impact the people and children in your communities,” Harry told the crowd. “The path you have chosen will inspire and create change for hundreds, even thousands, of young people.”
Markle also praised students for prioritizing the arts to support their mental health.
The founders of Archewell have traveled extensively throughout the South American country, participating in numerous fun and exciting activities focused on empowering youth.
On Sunday, Markle spoke alongside Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez on a panel titled “African American Women and Power: A Voice for Equality.”
During the discussion, Markle shared how “proud” she was of her daughter Princess Lilibet, 3, who has already “found her voice.” Harry was also present at the forum, although Lilibet and their other child, 5-year-old son Prince Archie, remained at their home in Montecito, California.
“I find inspiration in the strong women around me, of course my mother is one of them,” Markle told the audience about her mother, Doria Ragland. “My approach to things is less about the fight and more about how we present ourselves in a room and flood things with love, kindness and generosity.”
“These are the elements that inspire me,” she added.
Markle and Harry also visited a kindergarten class, showed off their dance moves at La Giralda School in Bogotá and took part in a drumming lesson.
Throughout the trip, the American Riviera Orchard founder wore several eye-catching pieces, including butterfly earrings from her late mother-in-law Princess Diana and an elegant silk blouse from her close designer friend Victoria Beckham.
