When the Democratic Party convention begins in Chicago on Monday, several top party officials will deliver speeches throughout the week, including former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Speeches by well-known party figures and celebrities will precede Vice President Kamala Harris’ acceptance of the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination on Thursday evening.

An official speaker schedule has not yet been released, but here are some confirmed names expected to take the DNC stage this week.

Who is speaking at the DNC?

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will be the keynote speakers on Monday’s opening night, which Harris is expected to attend after her bus tour of Pennsylvania. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will also speak Monday after being welcomed by Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker will deliver welcoming remarks Tuesday evening, followed by Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and former President Barack Obama.

Before Minnesota Governor Tim Walz delivers his acceptance speech for the vice presidential nomination on Wednesday evening, former President Bill Clinton, Representative Nancy Pelosi and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will also speak, according to CNN.

Harris will close the convention on Thursday evening with her presidential acceptance speech.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama will also deliver a speech later this week, emphasizing the importance of civic engagement and voting, the DNC said.

Other speakers include Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, former President Bill Clinton and former President Jimmy Carter’s grandson Jason Carter, who will speak on behalf of his grandfather.

When is the DNC 2024?

The DNC is scheduled to take place from August 19 to 22 at the United Center in Chicago.

How to watch and stream the DNC 2024

The DNC will broadcast the events live on several online platforms.

USA TODAY will provide live stream coverage of the DNC every night Monday through Thursday on YouTube.

Each network handles coverage a little differently. Here’s a breakdown of the major networks and their coverage plans for the DNC:

  • C-SPAN will hold the entire conference on all four days without interruption.
  • CBS NewsCoverage of the convention will air in prime time Monday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will be hosted by CBS Evening News anchor and editor-in-chief Norah O’Donnell.
  • ABC News will air in primetime on Mondays and Tuesdays for one hour from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays for two hours from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. ABC News Live, the network’s streaming news channel, will carry the coverage in primetime all four days from 7 p.m. to midnight.
  • Fox News will present a one-hour special every night Monday through Thursday at 10:00 p.m. ET titled “Fox News Democracy 2024: The Democratic National Convention,” co-hosted by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.
  • CNN will be broadcasting live from the DNC nearly 24 hours a day, including special live coverage each night from 8 p.m. to midnight Eastern Time with “CNN Democratic National Convention.”
  • News Nation will have special primetime coverage called “Decision Desk 2024: The Democratic National Convention,” airing daily from 8 p.m. to midnight ET. Co-hosts are Chris Cuomo, Elizabeth Vargas and Leland Vittert.
  • NBC News will stream the convention on its streaming platform NBC News Now as part of its “Decision 2024” program. Coverage will air Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will be anchored by Lester Holt and Savannah Guthrie, according to the New York Times.
  • MSNBC will broadcast special coverage every night from 8 p.m. to midnight and will also stream all four days of the convention live on its YouTube channel, the New York Times reported.
