The CEO of Goya Foods, the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States, responded to Vice President Kamala Harris’ economic proposal last week by saying the government has “no business” controlling prices.

Bob Unanue told Fox News guest host Will Cain on “Jesse Watters Primetime” that the Biden-Harris administration has waged a “war” on the middle class since “day one,” from fossil fuels to green energy.

“They are using a nail gun to put the final nails in the coffin of this economy and this country,” he said. “From day one, they have issued executive orders that have put this country on a disastrous path.”

“You know, when I was a kid, if you had a lemonade stand and the glass, the straw and the product cost 10 cents to buy at the store, and then the government came and said, ‘I want you to sell this lemonade for a penny,’ you know, then you just had to close your lemonade stand and go home,” he said.

“And the food trade, which generates 1 to 2% of that and employs a lot of people, those people are forced … we will force them out of business by controlling prices.”

Former President Trump attacked Harris over her economic approach at a rally in Pennsylvania, saying her plans would result in “rationing, starvation and skyrocketing prices.”

“Comrade Kamala has announced that she wants to impose socialist price controls. You have seen that it has never worked. It has never worked,” he said.

In a post on his platform Truth Social on Sunday, Trump called Harris a “communist.”

“Comrade Kamala Harris is terrible for our country. She is a communist, always has been a communist and always will be a communist,” he wrote. “Under her ‘leadership’ the USA will fail and fail fast. We will not allow that!!!”
