What is the story

A young girl died in a hospital in Mahabubabad, Telangana, after attempting suicide due to relentless harassment by a group of men.

Before she died on August 17, she managed to rakhi one last time on her brother’s wrist.

She has been in hospital since August 15 after taking poison.

Harassment led to tragic decision

The girl, who was pursuing a diploma in Kodad, had reportedly rejected a man’s marriage proposal.

When she refused, the man and his friends began to harass her relentlessly.

Unable to withstand the constant torture of these men, she took poison on August 15 to escape the harassment.

Police investigations and arrests

After her death, an autopsy was performed and her last rites took place on Sunday.

Narsimhulpet police have registered a case in this regard.

The men accused of molesting the girl have been arrested by the authorities. Police confirmed that further investigations are currently underway into this tragic incident.
