Plans to remove “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega from hit series apparently revealed, replacement actor confirmed

To say that Jenna Ortega is one of the hottest names in Hollywood would be an understatement. millennium. Recently, Ortega broke her silence on the firing of her co-star Melissa Barrera from the hit teen horror series, telling Vanity Fair that “the (film) business” is so “sentimental” and that “everyone wants to be politically correct” but “lacks honesty.”

“I wish we had a better sense of conversation,” she added. “Imagine if everyone could say what they feel without being judged for it, and if anything, it would spark some kind of debate, not an argument.”

But it turns out Scream 7 The Carpenter sisters were probably finished anyway and it was unlikely that their characters would have returned for a fourth appearance.

While Scream 7 has now written a new script and plans to portray Ortega’s character in Original The story was supposedly revealed. With Barrera, Landon and Ortega leaving the film, the project has now landed franchise star Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott), essentially replacing both Barrera and Ortega. Scream (1996), Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 4 (2011) Screenwriter Kevin Williamson as director.

While plot details are not yet known, the casting of the Carpenter sisters will not be new and they will therefore not play a role in the upcoming sequel.

According to the report, the plans to kill Jenna Ortega were due to her “busy schedule.”

While Jenna Ortega has already appeared in several films and television shows (Insidious: Chapter 2, Studio 666, The Babysitter: Killer Queen, 2022 Scream, Jurassic World: New Adventures) before landing the role of Wednesday Addams in the hit Netflix series, portraying the morbid, pigtail-wearing Addams Family teenager certainly cemented her superstar status.

The series premiered on the platform in November 2022 to great acclaim and quickly became the second most-watched English-language Netflix series, received numerous nominations (including two Golden Globes) and won four Primetime Emmy Awards. Unsurprisingly, Wednesday has been renewed for a second season, which is currently in production.

But will Jenna Ortega reprise her role as Wednesday? The answer is yes. Simply put, there is no Wednesday without the superstar. We can’t imagine anyone else in this role. What many people don’t know: Jenna Ortega lent her voice to teen vlogger Brooklynn in all five seasons of the animated Netflix series. Jurassic World: New Adventures (2020 — 2022). It was no surprise when Jenna Ortega was chosen for the long-awaited Beetlejuice (1988) sequel. She not only played a morbid teenager living in the Gothic world in Wednesdaybut she also worked with Tim Burton, an executive producer of the hit The Addams Family Series, who returns as director Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice after directing the original film.
