Insha Fitzpatrick is a New Jersey-based writer and editor, founder of DIS/MEMBER, a horror website, and director of operations at Storytelling Collective. Ashley Robin Franklin attended the University of Texas Pan-American. She studied English Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Studio Art. She is a queer cartoonist and illustrator from Austin, Texas. Her debut young adult graphic novel, The hills of Estrella Roja, was published in August 2023 by Clarion Books/Harper Collins. The proliferation of children’s graphic novels is driving all kinds of publishers to enter the comics medium. It is not for nothing that children’s graphic novels are referred to in bookstores as the newsstand of the 21st century.
