For Chelsea, there are only a few days left until the start of the season and two weeks until the transfer window closes.

It’s time to get things moving and it seems that’s finally happening as far as trimming down the roster goes. With the group now back from the US tour, things are ready to get started.

Despite failing to sign a striker so far, Armando Broja is certainly up for sale and, as we learn today from the East Anglia Daily Times, Ipswich Town are the latest club to express an interest.

So far, most of the rumours have centred around clubs in Italy or Germany, but now the Premier League seems to be interested in the academy graduate. Given our high price tag of £30m, the article states that it would have to be a loan deal initially.

We’re not sure Chelsea would be interested in that offer: their priority is to sell him as soon as possible. But if there are no other tempting offers on the table and Ipswich offer a good wage contribution and perhaps an option to buy in case they are relegated, we can see it happening.

New chapters are about to begin for the unlucky striker

Broja never lived up to the promise he showed during his fine loan spells at Vitesse and Southampton. The performances he showed there were outstanding, but injuries and simply not enough playing time have made things difficult for him since then. Battling bottom-of-the-table Ipswich would be no walk in the park, but he would get plenty of playing time and work for a really impressive young manager.

Although he is only 22 years old, there is still plenty of room for more chapters in Armando Broja’s story. Wherever he goes, we want him to succeed.
