When you think of a 63-year-old woman, dancing may not be the first thing that comes to mind. However, Mumbai-based Ravi Bala Sharma exceeds all expectations and captivates hundreds of thousands with her impressive dance routines. Known online as “Dancing Dadi‘ Sharma has become a social media sensation and has even received praise from celebrities like Sara Ali Khan and Alia Bhatt.

Sharma was previously a music teacher in Uttar Pradesh and moved to Mumbai after her retirement. When the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic brought her activities to a halt, she took the opportunity to pursue her passion for dance through social media. Her videos quickly garnered a lot of attention and made her famous.

In an interview, she said that her success would not have been possible without the support of her son Ekansh. Her dance clips regularly make waves and have earned her over 600,000 followers and hundreds of thousands of views on Instagram.
