King Charles made his first public statement as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continued their tour of Colombia.

The palace released a meaningful statement from King Charles via its social media channels.

The monarch’s statement said: “I can only express my warmest gratitude for the remarkable generosity of the British public in enabling rapid intervention to support those in the most desperate situation, and my particular admiration for those humanitarian workers who risk so much in the service of others.”

The King made this statement on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day.

King Charles’ statement comes during Harry and Meghan Markle’s Colombia tour.

The Duke and Duchess began their visit to Colombia with an unforgettable and warm welcome from Vice President Francia Márquez and her partner Rafael Yerney Pinillos.

The royal couple, who live in California, also enjoyed a theater performance as well as a music and dance performance at the venue in Bogota.

Meghan and Harry also took part in an intimate dance lesson with locals, which provided the couple with many romantic moments.
