In a shocking incident in the national capital, an 18-year-old man died when an air conditioner fell on his head, officials said. The incident took place in Doriwala area on Delhi’s Desh Bandhu Gupta Road (Karol Bagh area) at around 6.40 pm on Saturday.

In CCTV footage, the man, identified as Jitesh Chadha, was sitting on a stationary scooter and chatting with his friend. While they were hugging, the outdoor unit of the air conditioner fell from above and hit the two boys. Jitesh’s friend Pranshu was also injured in the accident. Pranshu is a resident of Patel Nagar.

The police have registered the case and launched an investigation.
