Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 fast charging speed revealed

Samsung is expected to unveil its next flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S10, in the next two months. It will bring a big change in the processor, as the South Korean company will reportedly use a MediaTek chip for the first time in its flagship tablet. However, the charging speed may not be improved, at least according to a new leak.

The charging speed of the Galaxy Tab S10 is similar to that of the Galaxy Tab S9

The Galaxy Tab S10+ (SM-X820) and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (SM-X926C) have been certified in China by the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) (via MySmartPrice), and these certification documents reveal that the tablets’ fast charging speed will remain at 45W (10V and 4.5A), which is the same charging speed as the Galaxy Tab S9 series that launched in mid-2023.

What’s also surprising is that the base model of the Galaxy Tab S10 doesn’t appear in the CCC certification database. It’s also not found in other common sources of information. Some rumors claimed that Samsung will only launch the Plus and Ultra variants of the Galaxy Tab S10, and that could be true, at least based on the leaks so far.

The story continues after the video.

The Galaxy Tab S10 series will reportedly come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, a 4nm chip from TSMC. It features eight high-performance CPU cores and ARM’s extremely powerful Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU with hardware ray tracing. The upcoming tablets are expected to launch in October 2024.

Samsung is rumored to bring productivity improvements with the Galaxy Tab S10 series. It’s not clear if there will be upgrades in screens, cameras, and battery capacities. The tablets will likely run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 at launch and will likely receive seven years of Android OS updates in the future.
