Despite having one of the toughest schedules in the Power Four, the Georgia Bulldogs also have arguably the best roster in the country. After missing the College Football Playoff last season, the Dawgs are arguably the favorite to win it all this year. That would be three national titles in four seasons if Georgia can somehow survive the SEC challenge and win Game No. 16.

It is very important to understand that every team SEC teams play in 2024 will also be an opponent in 2025, just with the venue switched. If a team hosts another team this year, it will travel to the visiting venue the following year. This was proposed by the league office to ease Oklahoma and Texas’ transition into the league and to give the SEC enough time to consider a ninth game.

I think there will be too much money left over over time for the SEC to give up nine conference games. I would fully expect the ACC to adopt this as well so the Power Four would have some uniformity in scheduling. While a ninth conference game would hurt both leagues’ chances of getting more teams into the expanded playoff field, we need it for the health of the sport.

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s turn our attention to what awaits UGA in 2025.

Here’s a look at everything we know about Georgia’s 2025 soccer schedule.

So far, we know all four of the Dawgs’ non-conference opponents and dates, as well as the cocktail party date with Florida, not to mention their seven other SEC opponents. Georgia will have a much easier time out of conference, as they only have one Power Four opponent, in-state rival Georgia Tech. That game is in Atlanta, a place where they haven’t lost to the Jackets since the late 20th century.

Georgia doesn’t have a neutral-site game against regional rival Clemson on its nonconference schedule, in addition to clean, old-fashioned hate against the Ramblin’ Wreck of Georgia Tech. The Dawgs’ three other nonconference opponents next year are the Marshall Thundering Herd, the Austin Peay Governors and the Charlotte 49ers. All will be at home at various times.

Traditionally, Georgia-Florida is played just around Halloween at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville. Georgia always has a bye before this game, which takes place on November 1st. Spooky! Four of their other SEC games will be at home. That’s the road games this year against the Alabama Crimson Tide, Kentucky Wildcats, Ole Miss Rebels and Texas Longhorns.

Rounding out Georgia’s 12-game schedule are their three true SEC road games, at the Auburn Tigers, Mississippi State Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers. Keep in mind that Georgia won’t have Carson Beck back for another season. Whether it will be Gunner Stockton, Jaden Rashada, Ryan Puglisi or someone else entirely remains to be seen.

Georgia’s schedule may be more favorable, but the roster may not be as good as the current one.
