‘Couldn’t be lucky enough’: Dance Moms’ Kalani Hilliker announces engagement to Nathan Goldman

Former Dance Moms dancer Kalani Hilliker proposed to her boyfriend Nathan Goldman on a beautiful lakefront on Lake Como in Italy over the weekend of August 17 and announced their engagement on social media. The 23-year-old is a dance instructor and mental health advocate and made her first appearance on the fourth season of the reality TV show, from which she was eliminated in season seven.

“Forever,” Hilliker wrote as the caption to her Instagram post of their engagement photos. “I’m so incredibly lucky and grateful to be your fiancé. Nathan you have my forever love 🤍🦋. Hilliker looked stunning in a floor-length strapless white dress, while Goldman looked handsome in navy slacks and a cream button-down shirt.

The lifestyle influencer showed off her huge oval diamond ring from Brilliant Earth in one of the pictures. The wedding date has not yet been set. The couple’s late summer vacation in Europe ended at Lake Como. After just six months of dating, Goldman and Arizona-based event coordinator Audrey Wood arranged the surprise proposal.

Prior to the announcement, Hilliker posted a few more behind-the-scenes glimpses of the couple’s time in Italy on her Instagram Stories, including attending a piano concert, watching fireworks together, and enjoying some truffle-poached eggs. When Hilliker and Goldman attended Coachella together in April, she officially started dating him. On social media, she posted pictures on Stories with Goldman that showed their golf outings, attending various photo shoots, and celebrating the Fourth of July fireworks this summer.

A few weeks later, in an interview with Us Weekly in May, she gushed about her new boyfriend ahead of the Dance Moms reunion on Lifetime. She said, “He’s great,” and mentioned that Goldman was never a huge Dance Moms fan. “I mean, he didn’t watch it, but I think his family did in some ways,” she said. “But I mean, he didn’t watch it. We don’t have to watch it. We watch clips sometimes because it’s funny.”

At the time, Hilliker also revealed that her fiancé doesn’t use Instagram or TikTok. Back in May, she noted that her boyfriend was just completely out of it, but at the same time, she loves that because she’s “so in the middle of it.” She continued, “So it’s kind of nice to have someone who’s not in the middle of it. He “literally” doesn’t have the TikTok app and Hilliker thinks that’s great because that way he doesn’t get to see her TikTok stuff.

One of the numerous former cast members who took part in Lifetime’s TV special Dance Moms: The Reunion on May 1 was Hilliker, who is currently a dance instructor. Although Goldman’s Instagram profile is private, according to his bio, he graduated from Ohio State University in 2020 and, according to his LinkedIn profile, his professional experience includes protection and control engineer.
