The start of the latest episode of The Ark“Museum of Death” picks up where the previous episode left off. Someone made it to Ark-3 before Ark-1, but who?

The episode is another self-contained story, which the series does well. In “Museum of Death,” the crew must carry out their original plan so that Ark-1 can use items from Ark-3 to repair its own damage. Now they must also deal with whoever is already on board Ark-3. We always know they’ll somehow get through the situation, but “Museum of Death” throws a unique twist their way.

William Trust really needs to be demoted a notch or two. His haughty attitude is unbearable. Sometimes, however, he offers useful information. In this episode, he shares that the shuttle docked at Ark-3 definitely belonged to the Eastern Federation.

We’ve heard the Eastern Federation mentioned a few times, including in the previous episode. There was a major war against the Eastern Federation, and it’s clearly a personal matter for Kimi. From the information we’re getting here, it’s sure to cause problems.

Garnet and the others need to know if there is an army of Eastern Federation soldiers on Ark-3. Alicia can only show still images taken at irregular intervals because the ship’s technology was damaged in the first season of Ark-15. In these still images, many people can be seen stationed around the ship, making it look like there is an army there.

It turns out that it is not an army at all. Someone has taken all the bodies of the members of Ark-3 and scattered them around the ship. As Garnet looks around, she comes across a person who is not one of the dead. This person runs away but is caught.

It turns out that this man is Eva’s brother. There’s a little backstory about how he turned to the Eastern Federation to find his sister, even though he knew she was on one of the first three arks. The Eastern Federation left him on Ark 3 and he went a little crazy from being isolated for so long. This isn’t surprising. We know what isolation does to people.

In the end, Ark-1 manages to remove the front of Ark-3 and install it on their own ship. There are some awkward moments, and unfortunately Eva’s brother doesn’t make it out alive when he tries to return to Ark-3 during the transmission. However, Ark-1’s search for a new home is back at the center of the season, which is good timing as we’re nearing the halfway mark.

The crew of the Ark-1 manage to get Eva’s brother to the Ark-1 where he may be able to receive treatment. However, it is clear that he has lost touch with reality and Eva may never get her brother back. He just wants to return to his “wife” and “friends” on the Ark-3 and threatens to expose Eva if she does not allow it.

All of this is done in Serbian, which no one but Jelena can understand. Kimi keeps a close eye on everyone and wants the gossip from Jelena. What did Eva and her brother talk about in Serbian? Jelena doesn’t say anything to Kimi, but she turns to Strickland later in the episode and asks if she should pass on things she’s heard. Strickland only wants to know something if it concerns the crew, and it seems like Jelena doesn’t think so. After all, this was about Eva, and they’ve all learned to trust Eva.

It does indeed appear that Eva was involved with the Eastern Federation at some point. Is it possible that Kimi lost someone close to her in this war? We saw how Spencer reacted when he learned that it was an Eastern Federation ship. He wants to avenge his father’s death at the hands of the Eastern Federation. He is more open about it and Garnet is able to calm him down. Kimi is not open about it with anyone, which suggests that she wants some kind of revenge and that Eva’s life is at stake.

At this point, it’s hard to know who to trust. I want to trust Eva, but she does something shady at the end of the episode by erasing her file from the system. That file showed six criminal convictions. Was she sent to Ark-1 as an Eastern Federation spy? What about Jelena? How will Brice react when he learns the whole truth?

Angus is finally back on his feet and heads straight back to his garden. He’s grown considerably since he was away and it’s clear that no one at Ark-15 even knows who he is. That’s a problem. Why didn’t Ark-1 explain to the people on Ark-15 that Angus built all of this?

Furthermore, Ark-15’s wife immediately reacts dismissively to his irrigation system. She points out that it was uneven and says she fixed it. There is no explanation of what was done or comment on how great he did building something from nothing. Angus solved a huge problem for the Ark-1 crew in the first season, and for Ark-15 to react so dismissively, I feel sorry for him.

This will certainly have an impact on Angus. Will he remember Maddox claiming he was a waste of resources? The problem is that no one is likely to see how Angus copes now that he’s recovered, and I suspect he’ll actually turn to Kelly, feeling like an outsider as the only other person around.

Speaking of Kelly, in this episode she learns more about her father. Her father took her everywhere to protect her from Maddox. However, Maddox poisoned her father. Kelly isn’t surprised when she learns this from Trust. She’s sad but not surprised as she knows how awful her mother is. I can’t forgive her for killing Trust’s wife but she’s not quite the monster she was initially made out to be. She doesn’t know who to trust and I feel like there’s some kind of soul mate connection developing between her and Angus.

Overall, this was a great episode with a mix of emotion, intrigue, and drama. There are clear signs of tension between various members of the new Ark-1 crew. It’s clear that we need to be wary of Kimi. She’s probably the biggest threat to everyone, especially if she’s harboring a personal grudge.
