Records and excellent tyre performance also in Austria

“The balance of this weekend at the Red Bull Ring is definitely positive. On Saturday, new all-time lap records were set in both Moto2™ and Moto3™, while today, despite the heavy rain with hail that fell yesterday late in the afternoon and practically nullified the development of the track, we had two faster races than last year as well as the new lap record in Moto3™. The tyres worked well all weekend and even at the end of the race they looked good and wear was minimal, which means they worked very well. Once again we have been confirmed that the standard allocation chosen for this year can offer excellent performances in different conditions and on different tracks. While in Moto2™ the soft compounds showed great adaptability and were once again almost unanimously the choice for the race, in Moto3™ all options were protagonists with excellent results, indicating that the range is very competitive and appreciated. Now that this GP is behind us, we are looking forward to a completely different circuit at the end of the month, namely that of Aragón, which seems to have become particularly aggressive on the tyres due to the recent renewal of the asphalt and based on the tests carried out a few days ago.”
