“Buying Beverly Hills” was canceled after only two seasons.

The Netflix reality show follows Mauricio Umansky, the estranged husband of “Real Housewives” star Kyle Richards, as he runs a real estate agency specializing in the sale of high-end properties, similar to Selling Sunset.

Mauricio starred in the series alongside his daughters Farrah and Alexia; the second series of episodes aired in March.

But Deadline reported that the series’ sudden cancellation was due to “the ratio of ratings to production costs.”

Fans immediately expressed their opinions on social media, with some saying they were “surprised” by the news.

Netflix canceled the purchase of Beverly Hills after only two seasons due to cost reasons and low viewership.

One wrote: “I am surprised that the purchase of Beverly Hills was cancelled” (sic)

Another said, “Which Netflix purchase canceled Beverly Hills?” and captioned their comment with a single tear emoji.

A third fumed: “Oh my god this makes me so angry that @netflix didn’t want to pick up season 3 of Buying Beverly Hills. Damn I love this family so much.”

“They are so good at what they do. I love this show and have learned a lot about the housing business.”

The final season documented the ups and downs of Mauricio and his famous wife’s marriage, which ultimately culminated in their separation.

He once explained to his daughters that although Kyle had tried “everything possible” to save their marriage, he needed “space,” so he allowed him to date other people on the condition that they not talk about it.

In a clip from the show’s second season premiere, he told his daughters: “I had 26 wonderful years with your mother and I wanted to do anything to save her. Your mother came and talked to me and said, ‘I think I need space.’

Fans were quick to voice their opinions on social media, with some claiming they were “surprised” by the news, while one fumed, saying he was “so upset” about the cancellation.

The ex-partners married in 1996. In addition to 35-year-old Farrah (Kyle’s daughter from her previous marriage), Alexia, 28, and Sophia, 24, they also have Portia, 16

The second season also featured a storyline that focused on Kyle and Mauricio’s daughter Sophia’s involvement in the family business.

There was also a scene where the parents sat down with their daughters – they have four in total – to talk about the news of the separation after it first appeared in the media.

The unscripted show premiered in late 2022 and includes a total of 18 episodes.
