When Anna learned that Turner had sexually exploited Haley, she exploded with anger—for a different reason than anyone expected.

“How many seductions are enough, hmm?” she asked her daughter’s music teacher.

“It was different,” Turner explained. “It was real.”

Haley’s father Chris asked, “Anna, what do you say?”

“We slept together. James and I,” Anna confessed tearfully. “That was once. Once, 17 years ago.”

“Anna,” Turner warned.

“So you want to talk about reality? Yes, it’s real. Work it out,” Anna snapped as a sickening realization dawned on everyone. “That’s right, Jimmy. She’s yours. You slept with your own daughter.”

Turner screamed in horror and Haley began to scream for him.

“How many years does he get for incest, Lieutenant?” Anna yelled.

“You knew this all along?” Chris asked her heartbroken – and then he attacked Turner, who continued to scream for Haley.

The cops were forced to detain Chris while they arrested Turner, giving Benson time to take Haley to a room alone, where she sat with a disturbing smile.

“James is my real father,” Haley said, surprised. “That makes perfect sense.”

“What?” asked Benson.

“I’ve always felt this connection. We both like music and art. We’re alike,” Haley beamed. “I played the fortepiano when I was 12. I knew my father couldn’t be a garbage man. I just knew it.”

Turner pleaded guilty to rape of two people, kidnapping, endangerment of minors and incest and was placed on suicide watch.

Benson recommended that Haley see a psychiatrist, and the teenager was institutionalized for her role in the case.
