Members of AKA, Nigeria’s premier exhibiting art group, have planned another round of exhibitions in Nigeria and beyond.

The artists, who are now all in their 60s, 70s and 80s, will exhibit some of their works of art in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu and Ghana.

According to one of the group’s founding members, all-round artist Bona Ezeudu, the new AKA Arts dance, scheduled for October 2024, is intended to “honor some of the deceased members and also celebrate one of the group members, El Anatsui, who just turned 80 and is revered as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.”

“These fallen heroes of AKA are Ifedioramma Dike, Samson Uchendu, Boniface Okafor, Chike Ebebe and Nsikak Essien.”
