The Prince of Tennis II: Semi-finals of the U-17 World Championship revealed a new key visual and trailer, as well as an October 2 release date, key staff, and theme song information. Studio MSC is in charge of animation, and Yoshinobu Tokumoto is directing.

The opening song is “Wake up” by Kidella, while the end credits song is “GLANZ” by emBLEm=ADLER. The opening song can be heard in the new trailer.

In addition to director Yoshinobu Tokumoto, the anime team includes Akiharu Ishii as character designer and chief animation director, Mitsutaka Hirota, who is responsible for series composition, Jinya Kimura as art director and Chihiro Tamaki, who is responsible for the music.

The Prince of Tennis is a Japanese manga series by Takeshi Konomi, which was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine from July 1999 to March 2008. The continuation, The new prince of tennis or The Prince of Tennis IIbegan publication in Shueisha’s Jump square Journal in 2009 and is currently ongoing.

An anime adaptation animated by Trans Arts ran from October 2001 to March 2005 with 178 episodes. After that, 26 OVA episodes were animated by Trans Arts and Production IG. They aired from March 2006 to January 2009.

A 13-part anime television series adaptation of The Prince of Tennis II ran from January to March 2012. The new The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Championship broadcast from July to September 2022, and the World Cup semi-final is the continuation of it.
