Gemma Collins shuddered at the “appalling allegations” leveled at her during an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.

The outraged star was so outraged by what had happened that she teamed up with a mobile phone company to do something about it. She was on holiday in Mykonos when a “particularly bad” phone bill of “thousands” arrived.

However, she admitted that it had happened to her “several times” and each time it had been “a horrible experience.” Although the reality star, who travels the world and whose favorite pastimes include collecting unique pottery in Italy, has a lucrative income, she is not willing to waste it on exorbitant fees.

Instead, she recently teamed up with Smarty Mobile, which she describes as “revolutionary” as the company includes 12GB of EU roaming as standard on all its SIM plans. Gemma surprised visitors to London Airport when she turned up in a huge coat with 23 pockets, dubbing it a “roam-free robe”.

However, it did highlight how much extra baggage you can take on with one wrong move – whether financial or literal – and offered a fun way to combat it. Oversized luggage is another problem Gemma constantly struggles with.

“You can imagine that as a girl who loves her clothes, I don’t pack easily!” she admitted.

Frequent travelers have experienced catastrophic moments in the past when their suitcases overflowed at the airport because they had packed too much due to the limited baggage allowances of some airlines.

This is their biggest criticism, of course besides the dangerous roaming charges.

“It’s life-changing, it’s revolutionary, there are no hidden costs at the airport and it will certainly change many people’s lives,” she said of Smarty Mobile’s new offerings.

“You have no annoying fees, you have absolutely nothing left that has to catch your eye at the airport and charge you these fees!”

Smarty chimed in, saying, “While finding a coat with 23 pockets at the airport might be a challenge for anyone, we’re here to help savvy travelers avoid these sneaky hidden fees.

“Interestingly, only 43% of people know what charges they have to pay for using their phone abroad. We want to save people hassle and maybe even a few euros when they travel, so it’s worth finding out before you travel.”

SMARTY has teamed up with frequent flyer Gemma Collins to launch the Roam Free Robe, helping holidaymakers avoid those pesky excess baggage fees this summer. With EU roaming up to 12GB as standard, customers can avoid unexpected charges on their bill.
