Air India crew member attacked in London hotel

A disturbing incident was reported from London in which an Air India flight attendant was brutally attacked at the Radisson Red Hotel near Heathrow Airport. The attack occurred late on Thursday evening. The crew member was seriously injured and had to be immediately hospitalized. The attacker tried to flee the scene but was arrested and handed over to the police.

Crew member seriously injured in the attack

According to media reports, the incident occurred at around 1:30 am at the Radisson Red Hotel. The crew member was sleeping in his room when the attacker entered and launched a brutal attack. Frightened, she woke up and began screaming for help. As she tried to escape to the door, the attacker hit her with a coat hanger and dragged her across the floor, causing her serious injuries.

Attacker arrested

After the attack, the attacker attempted to flee, but people outside the hotel were able to catch him and hand him over to police. The injured crew member was taken to hospital and was unable to return to duty. Another crew member stayed with her to provide support. According to media reports, the flight crew had previously raised safety concerns at the hotel, including dark corridors, unmarked reception areas and strange knocking noises on doors. However, these complaints were reportedly ignored, leading to the tragic incident.

Air India expresses regret over the incident

Air India has confirmed the incident and expressed its deep sadness. A spokesperson for the airline said: “We are deeply saddened by this incident. We are in close contact with our colleague and her family and are providing her with all the support she needs. Air India is also working with the local police on legal matters and is in touch with the hotel management to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.” The airline stressed that the safety and well-being of its crew members and employees is of utmost importance to it.
