“Has disappointed all expectations” – Joe Rogan is criticized for disappointing Adam Sandler episode, fans go on the offensive against JRE presenter

Following his controversial but hilarious Netflix montage “Burn The Boats” on August 4, Joe Rogan returned to his podcasts. The multimillion-dollar podcaster knew that in order to limit the damage of his latest adventure, he had to invite someone more popular with fans than anyone else, and that’s exactly what he did by bringing legendary actor Adam Sandler onto his show. Joe Rogan invited Sandler to “JRE 2187” for a candid conversation about Hollywood. However, it seems that fans have mixed opinions on this episode.

With over 3.8 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours, Rogan’s episode with Adam Sandler became one of his most-watched episodes in recent memory. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that fans were excited to see their favorite movie star in conversation with the podcaster. The community expected some unexpected confessions from the star on the podcast, but that rarely happened since the conversations at the time mostly revolved around comedy.

Joe Rogan often talks about the essence of comebacks, back before the rise of cancel culture. He discussed this at length with Adam Sandler during a two-hour conversation in which they explored Sandler’s journey from comedian to Hollywood giant. Well, they also covered topics surrounding the dark side of Hollywood, but there wasn’t a single hidden confession about Sandler’s secrets.

It seems that Joe Rogan’s team couldn’t adapt the script better to the content. It must be noted that this is the podcaster’s second blunder in a week. Why, you ask? Well, in his episode with Sara Imari Walker, Joe Rogan’s teammates confused his name as “Roghan.” Anyway, let’s see what fans think about the new episode of JRE.

Fans criticize Joe Rogan for asking Adam Sandler subpar questions

The Joe Rogan podcast has been the epitome of podcasting in the entertainment space. Recently, however, his conversations with his guests either generate controversy or lose their charm. It’s important to note that this is largely due to the fact that sometimes the entire conversation revolves around topics like comedy, aliens, and otherworldly beings. The Adam Sandler episode should be better given the actor’s legendary status, but the opposite seems to be true with Rogan. One fan wrote: “2 hours of stand-up talk… I wanted you to ask him more about his films.”

One of the highlights of the episode was Joe Rogan’s constant talk about himself. The co-commentator talked throughout the podcast about his comedic timing when he first started doing comedy, and this seems to have annoyed some fans. “Having a legend talk about you the whole episode is crazy.” In addition, another fan expressed similar sentiments: “You were just talking about yourself the whole time.”

The community expected more questions about Adam Sandler’s personal life, but the entire conversation revolved around things that had nothing to do with Sandler. One social media user emphasized his disappointment: “This one has disappointed all expectations. Big failure from Joe.”

In addition, a fan wrote that Joe Rogan should refrain from talking about stand-up comedy more often, “Probably an unpopular opinion, but stand-ups talking about stand-up is the most boring thing in the world. Back then, everyone was murdering. Fair play if you like it, but I was hoping for some crazy stories or more about the movies or SNL days, etc.”
