Honda will launch the 2019 Honda CB Hornet 160R next year. The price of the bike starts at INR 85,643 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base model. The top-of-the-range model goes up to INR 93,643 for the ABS DLX variant. This bike will not get any major upgrades. This bike was and will remain Honda’s answer to the Pulsars.

The Honda CB Hornet 160R consumes 59 km/l according to ARAI certification. However, in practice, the motorcycle easily consumes around 35 km/l in the city and almost 44 km/l on the highway. The Honda CB Hornet 160R is very efficient despite its good performance.

The 2018 CB Hornet 160R now comes with ABS, a new LED headlight and an aggressive new look. A new low-maintenance seal chain reduces the motorcycle’s servicing costs and a new hazard switch provides additional safety. This switch allows all four indicators to flash simultaneously. Nothing has changed in the engine or the performance of the motorcycle. The engine is still the same 160cc single-cylinder engine.

Honda CB Hornet 160R has also been launched in two special edition variants. One is standard and the other is CBS (Combined Braking System). Both the bikes are available in this new edition which has an option of green or orange decals on a black bodywork. Also, the 2019 Honda CB Hornet 160R gets new graphics and a new paint job.

This motorcycle has a fully digital instrument cluster. It has a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, trip meter and a clock. There is no gear indicator. The switches on the Honda CB Hornet 160R are rather simple and are only located on the left side. There is no engine kill switch, which is very welcome. Instead, there is now a hazard switch. It also has a kick starter that fits very well and has a unique shape. None of this will change on the 2019 Honda CB Hornet 160R.

The engine on the Honda CB Hornet 160R remains the same. It is a very sophisticated unit. This is also one of its USPs. The 162.71 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces 15.6 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 14.76 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
