High Goal Silver Cup: Dubai takes the title

Dubai, the recent winner of the British Open at Cowdray Park Polo Club in England, claimed the top Terralpa Silver Cup after defeating MB Polo in the championship match played on Saturday, August 17 at the Ayala Polo Club. The last time the Albwardy family organization won the competition was in 2022.

As in the final at Cowdray Park three weeks ago, the decisive match in Sotogrande saw cousins Jeta Castagnola (Dubai) and Poroto Cambiaso (MB Polo) fight for second place in the final of the 53rd Andalusian International Polo Tournament.

After three very even first chukkas and an already impressive performance from MB Polo’s Rufino Laulhé, Dubai took control of the situation from the fourth chukka, led by the always indomitable Jeta Castagnola. It is worth mentioning that Rashid Albwardy contributed with a couple of goals to seal the deal and secure the championship title for his team.

Therefore, Dubai goes into the Turkish Airlines Gold Cup strong enough to defend the title it won last year.
