Your first real base in 7 Days To Die will probably be made of wooden blocks and these are a pretty durable material. They can withstand some beating and are much safer than any of the abandoned houses on the map, at least at first.

When things get tough and blood moons occur, a horde of zombies can quickly knock down wooden blocks and hurt you – or worse, you’ll die and have to search for your inventory. You should upgrade your base to cobblestone, but you’ll need cobblestones to do this.


How to Make Cobblestones

Player character crafts cobblestones in his inventory in 7 Days To Die.

To make Cobblestone Rocks, you need need two different materials: Small stones and clay soil. You can you will find plentySmall stones by plundering most of the things in the world, pick them up from the ground or smash large stones with a harvesting device, such as a Stone axe or iron pick.


Clay soil, on the other hand, generally needs to be dug up with a shovel. It is it is possible to find it by looting but it is not so common like other materials, and you will need a lot of clay soil to do enough Cobblestone rocks for a construction project.

Sometimes you can
find Cobblestone Rocks if
Plunder
Piles of garbage, dirty trash, rolling garbage cans or cardboard boxes.

Once you have the materials, go into your inventoryand you will find the Recipe for Cobblestone Rocks in the Resources tab. It takes a small stone and a clay soil to craft, and in return you will receive a cobblestone rock.

How to upgrade blocks with cobblestones

Player character uses cobblestones and a claw hammer to upgrade wooden blocks in 7 Days To Die.


While Cobblestone Rocks is used to make the forgetheir main use is for Upgrading existing wooden blocks placed by you, and each block takes ten Cobblestone Rocks to upgrade.

You can also
Manufacture paving stone blocks at the same price
as an upgrade, but it is better to upgrade wood to cobblestone because breaking misplaced wood blocks takes less time than if it were cobblestone.

Either equip Stone axe or claw hammer in hand, then approach a placed wooden block while you Cobblestones in your inventory.

Use what you have set for Secondary actionand you will receive a Percentage request as long as you Keep secondary action on the block. Do this until The upgrade is completethen the wooden block turns into a cobblestone block.

Both the Stone Axe and the Claw Hammer do the same, but the
Upgrading the Claw Hammer only takes two hits
one block, as opposed to the three of the stone axe.
