A teenager fell from the sixth-floor balcony of a high-rise building in Ghaziabad, India, while trying to shoot an Instagram video, local media reported.

In another sad incident triggered by the obsession with social media videos, Grade 11 student Monisha almost died in an accident.

The 16-year-old girl was reportedly filming social media posts when she fell from the balcony of her sixth-floor apartment and nearly died.

According to local media, Monisha took her mother’s phone and went to the balcony to take pictures while she was busy in the kitchen.

While filming the video, Monisha’s mobile phone slipped from her hand and when she tried to grab the device, the 16-year-old fell from the sixth-floor balcony.

In a disturbing video of the incident that went viral on social media, Monisha is seen lying semi-conscious on the road with blood coming from her mouth.

She was then taken to a hospital where she is out of danger. Police said Monisha sustained severe injuries all over her body but her condition has stabilized thanks to immediate medical treatment.
