The upcoming sequel to the comedy, Son of Sardaar 2has been hit by unexpected turmoil. Veteran actor Vijay Raaz has been abruptly removed from the cast of the film, which is currently in production in London. Reports say the decision was taken due to the actor’s alleged unprofessional behaviour on the sets. Although the film boasts a star-studded ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Deepak Dobriyal, Chunky Panday and Mrunal Thakur, the behind-the-scenes drama surrounding Raaz’s exit has overshadowed the project’s progress. ‘Son of Sardaar 2’: Mrunal Thakur to star alongside Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt in upcoming action comedy, shooting to begin in late July – reports.

The film’s co-producer, Kumar Mangat Pathak, confirmed the news to Pinkvillaand cited Raaz’s behaviour on the set as the reason for his dismissal. Pathak listed a series of allegedly unprofessional demands, including asking for bigger rooms, a van and overpaying his spot boy. “He demanded bigger rooms, a van and also overcharged us for the spot boys. His spot boy was getting Rs 20,000 per night, which is more than some of the biggest actors are paid. Britain is an expensive country and everyone was given standard rooms during the shoot, but he demanded premium suites,” Mangat said.

The producer further added that Vijay’s demands were getting more and more with time. He said, “We tried to meet all his demands but his behaviour was getting worse. He even demanded two cars so that three staff members could travel. After all the discussions, we decided to take him out of the film.”

However, Vijay Raaz has a different account of his dismissal from Son of Sardaar 2. The actor claims he was fired for not greeting Ajay Devgn when he arrived on the set. He denies any wrongdoing or excessive demands and insists that his request for a bigger room was for his morning yoga routine. Kumar Mangat Pathak refuted Raaz’s claim that he was from Son of Sardaar 2 for not greeting Ajay Devgn. The producer highlighted the significant financial loss incurred by the production due to Raaz’s dismissal and assured that such a drastic measure would not be taken for trivial reasons.
