What Kalen DeBeor said after Alabama’s last fall practice game

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama Crimson Tide football program held its second and final scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday at Saban Field in Bryant-Denny Stadium. New head coach Kalen DeBoer spent time with the media after the scrimmage to provide an update on the team as the season is just two weeks away.

Alabama focused on working in the red zone in the second practice game.

– Kalen Deboer said the offense made some explosive plays, but the defense caused some turnovers.

– DeBoer praised the competitive spirit of the receivers and defensive backs during the catch.

– DeBoer said this was the most physical scrimmage since his time at Alabama, but said the team came out of it “relatively healthy.”

– Jam Miller was held out of practice after “sustaining an injury a week ago.” He “could have gone today” if he had needed to.

– DeBoer said Jaeden Roberts can play despite his injury in Week 1.

– DeBoer said the defensive line does a really good job against the run.
